TOEFL Language Training
Format
TOEFL is available in two formats: the TOEFL iBT (internet-based test) and, in limited areas where the internet-based test is not available, the TOEFL PBT (paper-based test). The TOEFL iBT is the more common format and is administered online through designated testing centers.
Scoring
Each section of the TOEFL is scored out of 30, making the total possible score 120. Scores are used by universities and colleges to make admission decisions and by governments and licensing/certification agencies to issue visas and professional qualifications.
Acceptance
TOEFL scores are accepted by over 10,000 institutions in more than 150 countries worldwide, including universities, colleges, and professional bodies. The test is also used by immigration departments to issue residential and work visas.

Preparation for the TOEFL can involve self-study using books and online resources, taking a preparation course, or a combination of these methods. Familiarity with the test format and practicing test-taking strategies can significantly impact a candidate’s performance.
